Field Technician- Contents

A Field Technician – Contents is responsible for packing, inventorying, cleaning, and restoring personal belongings from homes or businesses affected by fire, water, or mold damage. They ensure items are handled with care, documented accurately, and safely transported or stored, often working on-site and in warehouses.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Clean a wide variety of items using hand tools, HEPA vacuums, and ultrasonic machines
  • Restore affected furniture, boxed goods, kitchenware, collectibles, and more
  • Follow safety protocols and cleaning techniques based on item type
  • Repackage and label restored contents accurately
  • Occasionally assist with electronics, artwork, musical instruments, or taxidermy under supervision
  • Keep the cleaning area clean, organized, and efficient
  • Communicate clearly with team members and management
  • Help track inventory and product usage
  • Take care of your tools and equipment like they’re your own
  • Be part of a close-knit team that cares about quality
  • Travel to different work sites daily to pack- out items

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to stay focused on repetitive tasks
  • Must be able to lift 40–50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Good communication skills and basic organization habits
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license preferred
  • Must pass a background check
  • Prior experience in cleaning, moving, warehouse work, or restoration (not required)
  • Prior experience with inventory systems like iCat (not required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 4 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • Professional Cleaning: 1 year (Required)
  • Inventory control: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification: Forklift Certification (Preferred)

Ability to Commute: Saint Paul, MN 55113 (Required)

Willingness to travel: 50% (Preferred)
